Get-to-know-the-Contributors: Paul

Paul’s writing beautifully balances conceptualism and lyricism; he crafts erasures and palindromes that are as impassioned as they are exact in their execution.

To quote his concise bio, “Paul Meunier is an English PhD student at the University of Calgary, studying experimental poetry. Paul also has a photography background, and he explores relationships between visual art, poetry, and subject representation.” paul

Paul’s writing beautifully balances conceptualism and lyricism; he crafts erasures and palindromes that are as impassioned as they are exact in their execution. His forthcoming piece is a suite of anagramed erasure love poems written to/for the constellation Orion, which—along with “tons of flowers”—is a recurring motif in his writing.

Check out “Orion” in antilang.’s inaugural issue, and come hear Paul read at the Calgary launch on Sunday, March 18th at Shelf Life Books!
