The theme for antilang. no. 6 is “Abrupt Environments,” a topic that is particularly salient in recent months, tightly intertwined with our previous issue – Pithy Politics, and universally relevant in the anthropocene. For this issue we look forward to eco-critical submissions, but also submissions that test the boundaries of what constitutes an ‘environment’ (particularly an ‘abrupt’ one), or that otherwise delve into setting and place.
Please note that we only publish a writer once per cycle (3 issues). So, if you appeared in Succinct Speculations or Pithy Politics, please wait until we open no. 7 for submissions in the new year.
Check out our previous issues to get a sense of what we’re into and then surprise us, throw us off our guard, make us rethink where we stand and the work we do as writers, editors, and humans sharing this planet. All our publications are available FREE online.
As with our two previous themed issues, we have a guest editor joining us for Abrupt Environments. We’ll be introducing them shortly, so stay tuned to our blog.
And as always, be sure to check out our general guidelines to ensure you meet our mandate for literary brevity.
We can’t wait to read your work!
